TESTIMONIALS
Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation Fundraising Supports Individuals and Provides Critical Training and Programs. These are just a few of the recipients who thank you for your support:
Family illness:
The Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation was an amazing blessing in aiding me when my brother fell ill and almost passed. Because of their help, I was able to spend quality time with my brother and assist in his medical treatment.
Child in hospital:
When my youngest son was born, he had to spend the first 90 days at CHOA Egleston. My wife and I were going nonstop trying to balance work, hospital time, and our time with our other son. During this stretch, I was presented with a check from the Foundation. This was unexpected and greatly appreciated by my wife and me, as it offset the lack of any extra jobs and helped with travel costs from our home in Gwinnett to the hospital.
House burned down:
My family and I are beyond grateful for the generosity that the Public Safety Foundation showed us in the days immediately following our house fire, which occurred on January 24th 2021. We could not have imagined we would receive this support to cover so many expenses, but we definitely appreciated it, both financially and emotionally.
A general thank you to supporters from Public Safety:
I would like to extend my gratitude to the entire foundation and all of the donors who support APSF! I hope they know the value they bring to all of us here at the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. I would like them to know that their time and efforts caring for us are recognized, valued, and appreciated. It is amazing and comforting to know that there are people who go out of their way to serve us in our times of need.
Car repair after break-ins:
When vehicles were broken into at some of the fire stations, the Foundation gave money to AFD members to cover the cost of repairs or insurance deductibles. I really appreciate their promptness in resolving the matter.
Paternity Leave /paid time off for birth of child:
My wife and I had our second child born within the first year of being employed at the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. I did not have much Paid Time Off built up, and I was not going to be able to afford to take three days off to spend time with my newborn daughter and help my wife recover. The Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation stepped in and cut me a check that allowed me to take TWO WEEKS off work without falling behind financially. Needless to say, we feel very blessed to be supported in such a profound way!
